Letter -- Candy Hearts

Dear Candy Hearts writer,
Thank you so much for writing for me! I've added some comments below about requested characters along with questions/ideas/prompts. These are all just meant to help you if you need someplace to start. If you already have something in mind that you want to a try, you can just ignore the prompts and chase your plot bunny. Have fun and happy writing!
Likes: f/f, Fluff, mystery, adventure, casefic, hurt/comfort, found families, strong female characters, affection, girls with swords, friends-to-lovers, missing scenes, post-canon, scars, injury recovery, happy/hopeful endings, time-travel, time-loops, getting together, pre-relationship, established relationships, unconventional formats that fit the canon setting (letters, journals, case reports, newspapers, non-linear narratives, etc.) and alternative story formats (choose your own adventure-style fics, visual novels, hyperlinked fics, etc.). For AUs, I like canon-divergence and what-if scenarios and I'm also partial to historical AUs.
DNW: Explicit sex (mentions and fade to black are okay), non-con, dubcon, incest, animal harm/death (hunting is fine as long as not graphic and fighting any kind of monster is fine too--just please don't kill pets or animal companions or the like), permanent main character death, graphic violence/gore, torture, self-harm, character-bashing, kidfic/pregnancy fic (mentions are fine; I just don't want babies and small children to be the focus of the fic), unrequested genderswap, mundane AUs (coffee shop, sports team etc.), supernatural AU (vampire AU, magical school AU, etc.)
Fire Emblem Three Houses
Edelgard/Byleth
I love Edelgard's determination to make the world a better place and the moral greyness surrounding the decisions she makes and the ones she's forced to make due to the silthers. I love that her story is complex and tragic, but that it can also lead to hope in CF route where Byleth and Edelgard team up to reclaim Fodlan for humanity, and in doing so reclaim their own. Byleth's story arc of her slowly becoming more human becomes especially interesting with the loss of her crest and gaining a heartbeat.
Would love to see anything set during the game or after it. Hurt/comfort is always welcome. So are Divine Pulse shenanigans, whether played for drama (e.g. saving a life, preventing injury, having to choose between the least bad of two bad outcomes), or for less serious purposes (preventing a mishap, avoiding getting caught in an embarrassing situation, restarting a conversation that went badly). For post-canon seeing them tackle some of the challenges of eliminating the class system or eliminating the Slithers would be interesting, as would just seeing them have some quiet time together.
Fire Emblem Awakening
Tiki/Say'ri
I adore their supports, the way Tiki insists that, in spite of Say'ri's comparatively short life span, she still wants to be close to her. The immoral/mortal dynamic has this inherently bittersweet element to it. They also have contrasting personalities with Tiki prone to moments of silliness and Say'ri being ultrta serious all the time, which is fun, especially as part of the deity/vassal aspect of their relationship. I'd love to see more of how their relationship evolves over time during or after the war and how Say'ri's able to move from seeing Tiki as a person in her own right rather than as the Voice of Naga.
Sunless Seas
Captain/Tireless Mechanic or Captain & Tireless Mechanic
Canon-typical violence is okay for this one, though please do keep it understated the way it is in the game.
I love the weird, creepy world of Fallen London and the Underzee. The otherworldliness combined with the familiar elements of Victorian Britain is just delightful. I'm open to any sort of adventures in this world, whether creepy or mundane: fighting Zee beasts, or lounging around in the mess hall, or a mishap during a stay at port—or anything else!
Tireless Mechanic / Captain or Tireless Mechanic & Captain
The Tireless Mechanic was one of my favourite crewmembers--the brilliant but eccentric engineer trope is fun. I was also fascinated by the idea of his not sleeping. What does he do during all those extra hours? Does he envy the people who do sleep?
I prefer a female captain.
I'm open to / or & for this one. For romance, I'm curious how they handle sneaking around together on the ship or whether they meet up during shore leave. Do they manage to keep it discrete or has it caused problems with the crew? Do they every discuss alternate arrangements so they wouldn't need to be secretive? For friendship, I'd love to see what a normal(ish) day looks like on the ship for them, or maybe have them run into each other by happenstance when they're in Fallen London, or working together to solve a problem.
Some favourite locales:
*Frostfound. I love ice and snow so I have a soft spot for Frostfound.
*Fallen London itself. Would love to see what the characters get up to when the ship is being repaired at Wolfstack Docks and they get some shore leave.
*Irem. I love the weird future tense and visions associated with Irem
Citizen Sleeper
Tala & the Sleeper
Tala was one of the characters in the game I really enjoyed. I appreciated her kindness and also how tough she has to be to handle the bar. I'd love to see more of her and the Sleeper in any capacity, whether it's while the Sleeper is working at the bar or working on helping Tala develop her own griolle or during some other phase of the game. Maybe the Sleeper talks to her about some of the other drama going on in their life (they certainly have a lot going on lol), or maybe Tala gets tangled up in some of it somehow, or one of the Sleeper's friends/acquaintances shows up at the bar? Something post-game where the Sleeper has chosen to stay on the Eye is welcome too.
Tactical Breach Wizards
Dessa Banks/Jen Kellen
I have one more mission to finish for this game so I'll hopefully be able to update with more but for now...I finished it! Love the ending and I chose having Jen and Banks start a PI service together. I love that that's an option and that it was Banks who went and got her the passport and everything. And I really loved the conversation between Jen and Banks. I think Jen is the only one who called her by her first name, isn't she?. I love how open Banks was with Jen compared to how she seems so closed off everywhere else; even her own anxiety dream felt less open than that conversation with Jen. And Jen is such a lovely character. She's full of self-doubt but she brings the best out in those around her. Would love to seem more chances for these two to connect and to see Banks be a little softer. Would also be happy to see fic that gives hope for her condition being improved/cured/secret third thing.
Suikoden V
Freyjadour Falenas/Lyon
Okay it's been an absolute age since I played this game but I absolutely love Frey/Lyon when I did so I was super happy to see it in the tagset. I remember going to the trouble of collecting all the 108 characters just to get the good ending where you save Lyon and Frey becomes Commander of the Queen's Knights with Lyon. If you're in the mood to write something post-canon about these two where we get to see them explcitely as a couple that would be great. Hurt/comfort would also be a fun option--I recall Lyon does get critically injured at one point in canon but honestly any scenario where either of them is injured and taking care of the other would great. Or something that plays into their liege/vassal relationship, which is a favourite trope of mine.
Revue Starlight
Maya/Claudine
Saijou Claudine/Tendou Maya
I've seen both the anime and the movie so please feel free to reference either/both.
Even though they're rivals I love how as the show goes on, it becomes clear that they really do care for each other. Their revue in the series is such a transformative moment for them as is their revue in the movie. I love how both of those show how in synch they are (Battle Couple is one my favourite tropes and they hit it so it well). The intensity of that connection in the revues is something I really love. I'd love to see more revue antics whether during the series or in a post-canon setting or anything to do with the time loop (them becoming aware of it at some point maybe? Or another loop created for some other reason?) I'm also always up for seeing how their connection translates into their real life interactions, that mix of rivalry and caring.
Scholomance
El & Aadhya
Aadhya and El are my favourite characters in the series and I love seeing their relationship evolve over the course of the books. It's so touching to see El finally have not only allies but friends who, in spite of her prickliness, really care about her and are willing to stand by her. If you feel up to writing something post-canon that would be amazing. How is the hunt going? What do they do in between sightings? Do they ever go back and visit Aadhya's family again? If you're more in the mood for something set during the Scholomance days, a few ideas: a close call, more of the training they did in book 2, a quiet evening of homework, talking about their families, finding something unexpected in the library.
Thank you so much for writing for me! I've added some comments below about requested characters along with questions/ideas/prompts. These are all just meant to help you if you need someplace to start. If you already have something in mind that you want to a try, you can just ignore the prompts and chase your plot bunny.
