wolfraven80Hello, write of rare pairs. Thank you so much for writing something for me. I'm really really excited to see what uncommon pairing is going to get one new fic to add to its numbers! Below are some general comments and suggestions for each pair in case you're looking for ideas, but but please don't feel bound by anything besides the DNWs. If you've got an idea you're dying to write go ahead and chase that plot bunny!
Likes: Fluff, mystery, adventure, casefic, hurt/comfort, found families, strong female characters, f/f, affection, girls with swords, friends-to-lovers, missing scenes, post-canon, scars, injury recovery
DNW: Permanent injury, explicit sex (mentions and fade to black are okay), non-con, dubcon, incest, animal harm/death (hunting is fine as long as not graphic and fighting any kind of monster is fine too--just please don't kill pets or animal companions or the like), main character death, graphic violence/gore, torture, self-harm, mundane AUs, character-bashing, kidfic, unrequested genderswap

Lillet/Amoretta
I really enjoyed how they used the time-loop in this game to basically create a non-linear narrative. It was really enjoyable seeing Lilet slowly put together all the pieces of the puzzle and figure out the several interconnected events that collided on that fifth night every time. And then they threw in the storyline with Amoretta, which I just loved (they even went with "there was only one bed" lol). I'd love to get to see these two spend more time together either during one of the many many time loops or post-canon. If it's post-canon I'd love to see how their relationship evolves and how Amoretta comes to realize that her feelings for Lillet are mutual. If it's during the loops, I'd love to see them spending time together during lessons, or meals, or some normal moment when Amoretta isn't in danger, and maybe seeing how Lillet's feelings developed over the loops, even if she doesn't remember all the past loops.

Flynn/Isabeau (SMTIV)
The thing that always sticks with me about this pairing is that last bit of the game when you're on the neutral route and it's just the two of them left. Flynn has the whole world on his shoulders and an uncertain future and they're wandering around the ruins of Tokyo together fighting demons. There was something so evocative of about that--the sense of isolation and obligation and companionship in the midst of all that. And meanwhile you can still take the time to wander into that abandoned bookstore and give Isabeau the chance to read that missing volume of that manga, which was so cute and really moving; they're in this world that's been destroyed and may be annihilated but they still find something to enjoy in it and they're still fighting to save it all.

Tana/Syrene, Seth/Eirika
I love pairings that involve a member of royalty and their retainer or bodyguard. I always loved Seth/Eirika and Tana/Syrene is the same flavour of ship: retainer who's known the princess a long time and probably helped train her to fight, thrown together during the war. I'd love to see anything with them either before, during, or after the war. Loyalty, protectiveness, training or fighting together, managing friendship or romance when they're of different stations--these are all aspects of their dynamics I find really interesting.

f!Alear/Ivy
I have to say I was really amused by their B support, but then you get her backstory in the A support about how the Divine Dragon became her strength in the "den of snakes" that was the royal court. I'd love to see more of the process of her coming to see Alear as a person not just as the deity she's been imaging all this time. And there are also some dramatic highlights in the game like Alear dying and coming back twice in a single chapter which must have been really a torment for her friends --that doesn't get explored in the game and is definitely something I'd like to see fleshed out. And then there's the bit where we get to see past!Alear and what she was like then; surely she has some feelings about that.
So there's lots going on there to explore and I'd really like to see them helping and caring for each other in some way.

Clair/Mathilda
I found the canon pairings for these two profoundly disappointing and while I was playing I kept thinking, Clair would be a much better partner for Mathilda than her brother. I think what bothered me about Clive was how quick he was to doubt Alm the moment it was implied that he wasn't really a noble whereas Clair, in spite of being a bit snooty, stuck with him. I'd love to see something with these two together. Maybe an AU where they founded the Deliverance together. Or a post-canon story where they're together. I'd like avoid drama with Clive and Gray or infidelity or anything like that so maybe just pretend they were never dating Clair and Mathilda?

Fjorm/Laegjarn
Enemies to lovers isn't usually my jam, but somehow this pairing was the exception for me. I really love how even when their nations are at war Laegjarn feels that she and Fjorm would otherwise have been friends. And I'm really tickled that the summoned versions of them do indeed canonically become friends. I'd love to see more of how this works, whether it's a scenario where they have to fight again due to summon contracts or where they're fighting side by side and have to rely each other.
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Nel/Clair
I played this game years and years ago and the whole way through I just thought Nel and Clair were way too close to be just friends. Also the NPCs were always talking about them together "Lady Nel and Lady Clair" as if they were an established pair. I always wondered if the fact of Clair technically being Nel's commander caused them problems, if they had to try to hide their relationship or if there was some sort of exception made for them. A post-canon glimpse of them would be fun, or a story about how they deal with the anxiety and separation if Nel travels with Fayt. And the addition of Adray and his misguided attempts to marry off Clair are always fun too.

Teixcalaan Series – Mahit/Three Seagrass
Really I'd love to see anything about these two--there's so little fic for them. I love how smart and witty they both are and how important language and poetry are in these books. I also found the lack of resolution at the end of the second book really bothersome so if you're up for something post-canon I'd love to see that. But really anything dealing with either of the books would be great. How does their correspondence get on after book two? Does Three Seagrass ever get to read the rest of that Stationer comic? Does Mahit every go back to The City? How do they learn to navigate the cultural differences that cause them so much difficulty in book two?
